Jakarta (Antara Bali ) - Six memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation in the field of energy was signed between Indonesian and US companies at the Shangrila Hotel here, Friday.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan and US Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Brian McFeeters.
"Most of the cooperation is in the energy sector," Jonan said on the sidelines of preparation to welcome US Vice President Mike Pence, who will attend a US-Indonesia Business Gathering with Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
The six MoUs, signed in the framework of the US-Indonesia Business Gathering at the Shangrila Hotel, cover cooperation in electricity, information technology, and renewable energy with a total value of US$10 billion.
Indonesia and US companies involved in the cooperation are PLN-Applied Materials, Jababeka Infrastructure-Greenbelt Resources, PLN-Halliburton, PT Dirgantara Indonesia-Honeywell Aerospace, TNI-Lockhead Martin, and PT Indonesia Power, PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB)-PowerPhase. (WDY)
