Denpasar, Bali (Antara News) - Three people from West Java are currently being questioned by anti- terror police unit Densus 88 in Bali following their deportation from Turkey for allegedly planning to join ISIS.

The three were known by their initials as AR (20), BSIR (48) and his daughter ZZG (17) were secured upon arrival at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai airport at around 9.40pm Central Indonesian Time on Friday aboard Emirates Airlines EK-398 Flight from Dubai.

"The immigration officers have handed them over to Densus 88 of the Bali regional police command for further questioning," Bali's police command spokesman Adjunct Senior Commissioner Hengky Widjaja said here on Sunday.

He said based on their information they left Jakarta for Bali aboard Garuda and from there they departed for Turkey on March 28 aboard Turkish Airlines and arrived in that country on March 29.

Upon arrival in Turkey they were held by local police and detained for 20 days on a charge of having incomplete documents.

Hengky said one of them, BSIR, had explained that he went to Turkey to only accompany his daughter ZZG who married AR in December 2016 for a honeymoon.

However they failed to show their marriage certificate or documents as a result the Turkish authorities deported them.

There is no information with regard to evidence that they plan to join ISIS, he said.

They actually  planned to return on April 27 but had to do it on April 20 due to the deportation. (*)
