London (Antara Bali) -- Indonesia will promote its ecotourism at Reiselivsmessen 2015, which is the largest tourism exhibition in the country, in Norway.

The expo will take place at Telenor Arena, Oslo, from January 9 to 11, an envoy said.

At the exhibition, which will be participated in by more than 100 countries, the Indonesian embassy in Oslo will also promote products of sustainable creative industries in addition to ecotourism, Second Secretary of the Indonesian embassy in Oslo Dyah Wisnu Kusumawardani quoted Ambassador Yuwono A. Putranto as saying here on Monday.

According to the ambassador, the purpose of promoting ecotourism is very relevant. It is not only meant to attract Norwegian tourists to travel and purchase the natural products, but will also ensure the proper dissemination of information on the attitude of the public towards issues related to preservation of the environment and on the rights of indigenous people.

With an area of 36 square meters, the Indonesian pavilion will showcase videos, distribute brochures, tour packages and other information on ecotourism, among others, in Subak, Bali, including at the Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) Ecology At-Tariq in Garut, West Java province.

With regard to the creative industrial products, the Indonesian embassy will exhibit Sumba weaving, plaiting, natural honey, and some variants of Arabica coffee. (WDY)
